Results, learning and the value of long-term commitment
2025 was a challenging year for international development cooperation. For organisations working to strengthen food security and climate resilience, demonstrating tangible results has never been more important. A turbulent year for the world and The Development Fund
2023 has been a challenging year for both the world and The Development Fund. The latest report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) shows that we are setting new records for greenhouse gas emissions, rising temperatures, and sea levels.

A fast-changing world
The increasing impacts of climate change, along with the conflicts in 2022, have highlighted the vulnerability of the global food supply. This has made local food production and The Development Fund’s approach more important than ever. Our experience with climate adaptation and local agriculture has provided a strong foundation for developing new and more effective solutions. The 2022 annual report demonstrates how The Development Fund, together with our supporters and partners, is already making significant progress in addressing both short-term and long-term challenges simultaneously.
