Terms
On this page, you will find The Development Fund's terms for donations, regular donor agreements, investor agreements, and purchases in the online store.
The Development Fund works to combat hunger and poverty. The organisation's efforts ensure that poor people in rural areas have enough healthy food, better economy, are well-prepared to face climate changes and crises, and gain increased power and influence over their own lives.
The Development Fund is a member of the Fundraising Control. Read more about what that entails and our reported numbers here. You can read The Development Fund's annual reports to see how the funds are used.
Payment
Regular donors: Applies to regular donor relationships, Development investors, AvtaleGiro, and Vipps.
Withdrawals are made by default on the 20th of each month. This applies to AvtaleGiro. When signing up with Vipps, the withdrawal date is set to the same as the signing date. The withdrawal date can be adjusted. Only the agreed sum is withdrawn.
Regular donor relationships via AvtaleGiro are available in the donor's online bank and are drawn from the desired bank account. Regular donors via Vipps are available in the app or website and are drawn from the desired bank card or account.
Online Store
Payments can be made online, either by bank and credit cards or via Vipps. The amount is reserved upon payment.
Cancellation of Regular Agreements
Send an email to post@developmentfund.no or call us at 23 10 96 00 on weekdays between 9 AM-3 PM. The email should include the name, address, phone number, and/or email address of the donor wishing to terminate the giver relationship.
Agreements via Vipps regular payments are terminated in the Vipps app.
For regular donor agreements via AvtaleGiro, the donor must themselves go into the online bank and delete any withdrawal files after the agreement is confirmed terminated, as the organization cannot do this after withdrawal files are sent.
Right of Withdrawal
Entering into regular payments: You have a right of withdrawal when entering arrangements with regular payments and you can cancel your agreement with us at any time. This applies to both Vipps and AvtaleGiro.
Although it is not possible to regret previous donations in principle, The Development Fund is open to using discretion in such situations, where the last donation can be partially or fully credited.
Purchases in the Online Store
The usual right of withdrawal also applies to purchases in our online store. This means you have 14 working days to regret a purchase. Contact us at post@developmentfund.no or call us at 23 10 96 00 on weekdays between 9 AM-3 PM.
In case of any errors or defects on the product, the buyer should contact us in the same way as above with a description of the error or defect. The buyer should contact the organisation within two months for a complaint.
Since symbolic gifts are considered donations and thus entitle to a tax deduction, it is not possible in principle to complain about these or use the right of withdrawal. The Development Fund is open to using discretion in situations where the buyer might regret or possibly wishes to complain about physical "fund certificates". Contact us at post@developmentfund.no or call us at 23 10 96 00 on weekdays between 9 AM-3 PM.
Tax Deduction
Tax deductions apply to donations and purchases of fund certificates.
All paid contributions and gifts between 500 NOK and 25 000 NOK to the Development Fund are deductible. The tax deduction percentage for the income year 2020 is 22%.
To get a tax deduction, we need your social security number. Your gifts will then be automatically reported to the tax authorities. You can contact us at 23 10 96 00 if you want a tax deduction.
Conflict Resolution
In case of any errors or defects on products from the online store or the use of the right of withdrawal, The Development Fund shall meet demands within a reasonable time. If the parties do not reach an agreement, the Consumer Council can be contacted for mediation. The Consumer Council is available at 23 400 500 or www.forbrukerradet.no.
