«The Development Fund is a non-governmental environment and development organisation supporting projects for small scale farmers in the South.»

Our work

The Development Fund is a Norwegian NGO working with local partners around the world to combat poverty and hunger through sustainable development, focusing on small scale agriculture, strenghtening biodiversity and conducting advocacy work on all levels.

Our main activities are:

Long term development assistance projects in seven countries in Asia, Africa and Latin-America. Our main aim is to help people help themselves. The projects focus on rural development and empowerment of small scale farmers and pastoralists and their families.

Information and advocacy work in Norway and internationally. We don't believe that development assistance is sufficient to achieve a more just world. Therefore, we also work to change political and economic relations that keep countries and people poor. More on our advocacy work here.
